Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of videotolink.net (the "Service"), operated by Videotolink ("we", "us"). By uploading a video or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and DMCA Policy.

1. The Service

The Service lets you upload a video file and receive a shareable link with a playback page. The Service is currently free to use, with fair-use limits (with or without an account).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you can bind it to these Terms.

3. Accounts

Sign-in is provided via Google. You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your Google account secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.

4. Your content and license to us

You keep all ownership rights to videos you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, host, reproduce, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to operate and provide the Service (including generating thumbnails and delivering video via CDN). This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except for short-lived backups and records we must keep for legal reasons.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload and that it does not violate these Terms or any law.

5. Acceptable use

You may not upload or share content that is:

• Sexually explicit or pornographic (not permitted on this Service in any form);
• Child sexual abuse material: zero tolerance. We remove it, preserve evidence, report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by US law, and ban the uploader;
• Infringing someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights (see DMCA Policy);
• Illegal, or promoting illegal acts; threatening, harassing, or inciting violence;
• Non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that exposes another person's private information;
• Malware, or content designed to deceive (phishing, scams).

You also may not: attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or security measures; scrape or bulk-download the Service; resell the Service; or use it as a general-purpose file backup system (it is a video sharing service).

We may review reported content and remove anything that violates these Terms. We are a hosting service and do not pre-screen uploads.

6. Guest uploads

Uploads made without an account are kept for approximately 21 days and then deleted. Guest uploads cannot be managed after upload; to request early removal, email support@videotolink.net with the link.

7. Copyright

We respond to copyright takedown notices under the DMCA. See our DMCA Policy for how to file a notice or counter-notice. We terminate repeat infringers.

8. Plans and billing

The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (Pro and Max) raise the per-file and storage limits shown on the pricing page; until they are on sale, every feature of the Free plan is available and nothing is billed.

When paid plans are available: subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep the plan until then. Your first purchase carries a 7-day money-back guarantee — email support@videotolink.net within 7 days for a full refund.

After a paid plan ends, your account returns to the Free plan. Videos beyond the Free plan's storage allowance (currently 1GB) stay up for a further 30 days and are then removed; the rest are kept under the Free plan's rules. We email you before anything is deleted. Prices and limits may change; we give at least 14 days' notice before a price change applies to an existing subscription.

9. Changes to the Service; termination; expired videos

We may modify the Service, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we are legally required to remove. If we ever discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice so you can download your videos.

Free accounts keep each video indefinitely — there is no expiry date on the Free plan, and you can delete a video at any time. Expiry dates are a paid feature: on Pro and Max you can set a date after which a link stops working; the video then stays in your dashboard marked as expired for a further 30 days, during which setting a new date restores it, and is removed after that. Paid accounts keep videos while subscribed.

You may stop using the Service and delete your content at any time.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that content will be stored without loss. Keep your own copy of every video you upload.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You will indemnify us against claims arising from content you upload or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to your local courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the site with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
